Axios: the US Senate proposed to impose sanctions against Russia in the event of an “invasion of Ukraine”
US Senator, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee Robert Menendez proposed to impose sanctions against Russia in the event of an “invasion of Ukraine.” This is reported by the Axios portal with reference to an amendment to the defense budget submitted to Congress.
According to the proposed changes, US President Joe Biden will have to prohibit leading Russian military personnel and employees from entering the States, as well as introduce a number of sanctions. It is also proposed to increase military assistance to Ukraine.
