Artist of the Khakass Philharmonic Society Mirgen Irgit won the competition of storytellers in Tuva The laureate of the competition was the soloist of the “Ulger” ensemble, artist of the Khakass Republican Philharmonic Society Mirgen Irgit, the portal 19rus.info writes.
Irgit won the competition by performing a fragment of the Khakass heroic epic “Khan Mirgen”. The legend was written in 1969 by the Khakass khaiji and the poet Makar Dobrov.
“The Khakass heroic epic contains the strength and wisdom of the people,” Irgit commented on his victory.
It is noted that the artist had previously received the main prize of the first international competition for throat singing “Hi-Moriy”, held in Khakassia. He also took third place at the international competition for throat singing “Dembilday-2017” in Tyva and second place at the international festival of heroic epic “Heroes who conquered time: from the epic to the present day 2020”.
Competition storytellers took place in Tuva within the framework of the festival “Congress of storytellers and khoomeizhi: past and present”. 19 masters of throat singing from Kyrgyzstan, Khakassia, Tuva and Altai competed in the event.
The festival in Tuva was announced earlier in November. It was noted that the purpose of the congress is to preserve the uniqueness and authentic tradition of folk genres.
