The Ministry of Energy of Belarus said that the BelNPP unit was turned off due to an incorrect signal 
The first power unit of the Belarusian NPP was shut down from – for the receipt of an incorrect signal, which led to the activation of the automatic protection. The reason for the shutdown was named by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic in the Telegram channel.
According to the department, the operation of the entire station system is carried out and regulated by an automated system that continuously processes simultaneously a large array of data and impulses from equipment sensors. As a result of one of the signals, the unit was turned off automatically.
“You all perfectly understand, the Belarusian nuclear power plant is how large-scale modern facility it is. High-tech equipment has been installed at the station, ”the Ministry of Energy said. It is noted that during the diagnostics, all equipment was found to be in good working order, and the power unit will soon be launched again.
On November 17, the first power unit of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) was disconnected from the network after the automation was triggered. According to the department, one of the units was disconnected in the morning at 10:33 (coincides with Moscow), the radiation background at the nuclear power plant and in the observation area is normal.
