US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau named their main common task following the meeting in Washington. This is reported by TASS with reference to a widespread statement.

“The main priority of the Prime Minister and the President remains the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and the improvement of health care security,” the leaders emphasized, adding that they will continue to fulfill the undertaken commitments to vaccinate the world's population and provide financial assistance to poor countries to recover their economies from the consequences of the coronavirus.

Biden and Trudeau discussed the topics of economic cooperation between the United States and Canada, climate change, and the fight for human rights. Coordination of intelligence efforts within Five Eyes, which includes Canadian, Australian, American, New Zealand and British intelligence agencies, was also discussed. The heads of state reviewed relations with China, Afghanistan and what is happening in the Asia-Pacific region.
