Russian stores offered to install electronic price tags

The head of the Consumer Association Koryagin suggested introducing electronic price tags in Russia

Electronic price tags should be installed in Russian stores so that buyers do not face price discrepancies the goods on the shelves indicated in the cashier's receipt, said the chairman of the Association of Consumers of Russia, Alexei Koryagin, writes Vechernyaya Moskva.

Not all consumers are able to find a violation in the trading floor, he said. Only advanced buyers report such situations to Rospotrebnadzor. The department can then fine the organization for breaking the law. According to the head of the Consumer Association, electronic price tags could save Russians from price confusion forever.

The expert added that when the price rises or falls, the numbers on them change automatically. “The most important thing is that networkers do not use the system to artificially inflate prices,” he pointed out the weak point of the service.

Koryagin suggested that if you create an application, then customers would be able to track the dynamics on their phones. The specialist believes that the innovation will appear in Russian stores in the next two years.

Earlier, marketer Nikolai Perepelkin said that the constant “hunt for discounts” can lead to a loss of time, effort and money. According to the expert, usually the goods bought in this way are not the most needed.
