The EISS announced the possible acceptance of second passports in Russia in the form of QR codes
QR codes in Russia may become second passports, said in the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISS), Channel Five reports.
As the researchers clarified, electronic certificates of vaccination against COVID-19 have proven their effectiveness around the world. Alexei Martynov, director of the Institute of the Newest States, cited Israel as an example, where more than 70 percent of the population is vaccinated. He recalled that the measures taken in the state helped to achieve herd immunity. Most people have either been sick, recovered, or vaccinated. “Literally from December, Israel has been opening for tourists from all countries, including Russia,” Martynov emphasized.
Experts allowed the introduction of second passports in Russia in the form of QR codes. They urged to take into account the world experience, especially to accept and work out errors.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Digital Industry is considering the possibility of limiting the verification of QR codes by the official application “State Services. Stop Coronavirus” due to the increase in the number of phishing sites that create fake QR codes.
