In the Caucasus, a “turtle” robot with a stun gun was invented to disperse the riots by law enforcers Rosgvardii, which will be able to disperse street riots, writes RIA Novosti with reference to the Rospatent base.
The development is being carried out at the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As the experts specified, the robot will be armed with a stun gun, mesh throwers and quick-hardening foam. One of the main features of the car will be a streamlined body like a turtle. According to the creators, such a shape without protruding corners will avoid injuries in the crowd. In addition, it will make it impossible to grab onto the technique and turn it over.
The robot is expected to be about the waist of an adult. Caucasian scientists have proposed a completely closed layout – participants in illegal actions will not even have access to a tracked chassis.
A fast robot moving at a speed of 50-60 kilometers per hour will become an “operative”, “dissecting” crowds of people. He will be able to detain offenders with the help of net-throwers installed on it. Tasers, foam dispensers, irritating substances will also help.
The second option is a “shield-bearer”, which will block offenders and prevent direct contacts with security forces. The machine will be able to reach speeds higher than the speed of a rider on horseback.
Earlier, students of the Novosibirsk State Technical University invented a robot gardener that can plant, water and weed.
