Biden added that the future of North America should be built on the common strengths of the three countries and stressed the importance of partnerships in securing supply chains and combating cybercrime.
This is the first time the Summit of State Leaders is held since 2016. It was attended by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
Earlier, Biden called the Americans, who have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus, the main risk for the American economy. He noted that vaccinating the vast majority of Americans is the only way to cope with the pandemic.
