Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Leshchenko almost shed a tear at the briefing 
Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko -conferences at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The recording of the speech was published on the ministry's Youtube channel.
During the briefing, Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky spoke about the successful operation of the Ukrainian police, as a result of which the attempt on Leshchenko's life was prevented.
When the floor was given to the minister , he admitted that he found out about the impending assassination attempt on him shortly before meeting with journalists. Throughout his speech, the Minister of Agrarian Policy spoke incoherently, trying to cope with emotions, and almost shed tears.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine presented a video with the negotiations of the customer of the murder, who turned out to be an American, with a Ukrainian killer. The footage shows two men talking over dinner. The killer asks what specific actions his interlocutor wants to take with Leshchenko. “I don’t order his murder, but if you kill him, I will not mind,” the man replied.
On November 17, a meeting of customers and a “hired killer” was held in the restaurant, to whom the amount of 20 thousand was committed dollars (more than 1.4 million rubles). It was planned that after that the American would leave Ukraine, and the “killer” would eliminate the minister, but the suspects were detained. Now they face life imprisonment.
