The Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus has opened a case on propaganda of war against the Polish authorities against the backdrop of the refugee situation. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved.
According to him, Polish officials grossly violate the norms of international law that enshrine the rights of refugees and citizens of sovereign states. In addition to the attack on the state border of Belarus, the Polish authorities also carry out illegal deportation, torture and acts of brutality against refugees, despite the fact that migrants have officially declared their intentions.
Polish security forces by order of the President or Prime Minister of the Republic applied to people, including pregnant women and children, chemicals and dangerous special equipment, which led to serious injuries, Shved added. He also noted that Russian, Belarusian and Qatari journalists and border guards were injured during the assault on the Polish border by migrants.
The Prosecutor General assured that Minsk would inform international organizations about the crimes of Polish officials in relation to Belarus. Now work is underway to identify each responsible person.
In early November, the migration crisis worsened on the eastern border of Belarus. Thousands of refugees from the Middle East approached the barriers at the border and tried to enter the territory of the European Union. The Polish security forces had to use additional forces to contain their pressure. After the incident, the General Staff of Belarus began checking.
