A one-year-old child of Syrian refugees died at the Polish-Belarusian border This was reported on Twitter by the press service of the Polish Center for International Assistance (Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej).
According to the service, the Polish rescuers received a request for help at about two in the morning. Upon arrival, they found several exhausted migrants who had been wandering in the forest for more than a month. The couple, whose one-year-old child died, also needed medical attention.
“The man had a lacerated wound in the arm, and the woman had a knife wound in the shin,” the rescue service said. They also found another refugee from Syria who was severely dehydrated and complained of severe abdominal pain.
Earlier, the head of the board of the Muslim religious community of Bohoniki Maciej Szhesnovich said that during the migration crisis at the border, 11 people died … The death of a one-year-old child increased this number to 12.
In early November, refugees from the Middle East gathered in Belarus on the border with Poland and Lithuania, trying to get into the territory of the European Union (EU). The West claims that the migration crisis was organized by Minsk. Refugees wishing to enter the EU are often willing to risk their lives, some of them choose the road through the forest and even across the river.
