The child's father, Joe Brenner, immediately took the offspring from the drain as soon as he noticed that he was playing with a dangerous animal. Brenner was shocked, but his timely reaction avoided unpleasant consequences. The child remained unharmed.
The incident was reported to the rescue team, who arrived at the scene and freed the stuck reptile. Now local authorities are establishing how the alligator ended up in the city's drainage system.
