Novak added that Russia plans to conclude new long-term contracts for the supply of coal to China. Last year, its deliveries to China soared by 20.6 percent (up to 39.5 million tons). Gas export volumes also increased. As of the end of October, 12 billion cubic meters of gas were pumped eastward through the Power of Siberia pipeline.
Lack of coal has become one of the reasons for the energy crisis in China. At the end of September, power outages in residential buildings and at work began in the country due to a lack of electricity.
