Illegal migrants at the Polish-Belarusian border have been diagnosed with coronavirus
Belarusian doctors have diagnosed coronavirus in illegal migrants at the Polish-Belarusian border. Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Viktor Pranyuk reported that refugees were infected with the virus, reports the Telegram channel Sputnik Near Abroad.
Meanwhile, a vaccination station for migrants has been opened at the Belarusian checkpoint on the Polish border. The Belarusian authorities decided to vaccinate people with the Chinese vaccine Vero Cell. Also, a car shop arrived at the logistics center, and now migrants will be able to buy bread, stew, milk, chicken and cigarettes.
In early November, the migration crisis worsened on the eastern border of Belarus. Thousands of refugees from the Middle East approached the barriers at the border and tried to enter the territory of the European Union. The Polish security forces had to use additional forces to contain their pressure.
After the incident, part of the migrants by decree of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was placed in the logistics center. Some refugees expressed a desire to return to their homeland, so the Iraqi Foreign Ministry began organizing flights from Minsk to Baghdad. Nevertheless, Polish border guards report that illegal immigrants are trying to get into the country in various ways.
