The Saratov hunting committee doubted that Rashkin had mistakenly killed an elk
The State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Valery Rashkin, killed an elk by mistake. They gave such an assessment of his version in a conversation with Sekret Firmy.
They stressed that it is almost impossible to confuse a wild boar and an elk, given that Rashkin used a thermal imager while hunting. According to the official representative of the committee, Alexander Gavrilov, these animals have completely different heights. “Where the elk only ends up with its legs, the boar’s head ends,” he said.
There have already been cases in the region when hunters allegedly confused animals. “Most often this happens when a person has permission to hunt, for example, a hare, and he is in fact hunting a wild boar,” concluded Gavrilov.
On November 18, the deputy published a video message in which he confessed to killing an elk in the Saratov region. He said that he confused a moose with a wild boar. Rashkin saw the animal three hours after the start of the hunt and decided to kill him, for which he took a tripod and a carbine out of the car, and then loaded a weapon.
On November 17, Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov submitted to the State Duma the idea of depriving Rashkin of the deputy immunity. This issue will be considered on November 22 or 23.
