RIA Novosti: Taliban eliminated three IS militants in Kabul
Taliban ( “Taliban”, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation ) conducted a special operation against militants of the “Islamic State” ( IS, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation ) in the northern part of the Afghan capital of Kabul. This was reported by RIA Novosti from a police source.
The Taliban security forces took full control of this area of the capital, killing three militants. During the operation, the security forces could have affected the house of one of the former members of the Northern Alliance. This organization opposed the Taliban in Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. It is not known why he fought there.
On November 18, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, warned of the threat of the spread of terrorist and narcotic activity into the territory of countries neighboring Afghanistan. He added that after the Taliban seized power over the Afghan state, new challenges were added to the old problems, primarily related to the lack of international recognition.
