The Oksana Fedorova Foundation has launched a competition for students of music schools and colleges in Russia

Oksana Fedorova Foundation, “My Russia: a musical journey” is accepting applications for participation in a music competition from students of music schools and colleges in Russia aged 7 to 18 years. The competition aims to support young musicians and provide them with the opportunity to demonstrate their talent at the national level.

To take part in the competition, it is necessary to perform a work by one of the composers to whom the TV program “My Russia: a Musical Journey” is dedicated – Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Modest Mussorgsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Scriabin, Sergei Prokofiev, Sergei Rachmaninov and Georgy Sviridov.

The video of the competitor with the performance must be recorded no earlier than September 1, 2021, posted in the public domain on video platforms or on social networks with the name of the participant and the title of the work.

The winners of the competition will be announced 1 December. The organizing committee headed by Oksana Fedorova will determine the best performers. All participants of the competition will receive commemorative electronic certificates, and the winners – diplomas, prizes and gifts from organizers and partners.

The project “My Russia: A Musical Journey” is aimed at popularizing classical music among the younger generation. It provides for a multi-format approach that combines TV travel, online quizzes and quests, music concerts and creative meetings, will draw the attention of a wide range of children and adolescents to the bright, interesting, and sometimes little-known facts of the musical history of different Russian cities where they lived and created their own. immortal works of great Russian composers and musicians.

In 2021, the implementation of the project with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund is planned in Moscow, Pskov, Tver and Kursk, from 2022 it is planned to cover the largest cities of the country. This project will contribute to the development of domestic tourism, cultural tourism, and in the long term it can become the main one for the development of original school routes through the places of the musical history of Russia.

Following the results of the pilot part of the project in 2021, practical recommendations for the integration of materials will be developed created within the framework of the program “My Russia: a musical journey”, as additional multimedia content for use in local history lessons, drawing up routes for school trips and quests to study the musical history of different cities of Russia.
