Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Vyacheslav about the chances of the Russian national team in the play-offs, where the remaining tickets to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be played out. He shared his opinion with RIA Novosti.

“Since we are seeded, we must beat any team that falls to us,” the specialist said. The national teams of Poland, Turkey, Austria, the Czech Republic and North Macedonia may become the rivals of Russian footballers at the first stage. Koloskov stressed that there is no obvious outsider among these teams, so it is impossible to predict who will be easier to play with.

Earlier, sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev said that he regrets not being able to see the match between the football teams of Russia and Ukraine. At the draw, the teams will be scouted in different semi-final pairs.

The Russian national team lost in the final match of the selection and lost the leadership in the group. The team will continue to fight for a ticket to the 2022 World Cup in the play-offs to be held in March. The draw for the upcoming games will take place on November 26.
