The #WeTogether campaign was supported by students from Senegal, Iraq, Egypt and other countries
Foreigners are actively joining the “ONF Youth” team. Most of them study or work in Russia, and devote their free time to volunteering.
State Duma deputies considered in the first reading amendments to the law “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation.” In particular, we are talking about the establishment of a special legal regime for foreigners and stateless persons who study full-time in Russian universities.
It is proposed to provide foreign students with the opportunity to obtain a temporary study permit for a period of six months. To do this, you will need to confirm the fact of studying at the institute and go through fingerprint registration.
“It is important to systematically form an educational environment that would not depend on territorial boundaries. Our education has always been considered one of the best in the world. And the fact that more and more students from different parts of the world come to Russia every year is welcome. The law on the special legal regime for foreign students also provides that within three years after graduation, a foreigner can obtain a residence permit in a simplified manner. By the way, there are many foreign students in the ONF Molodezhka team, and today they are active participants in the #MYVMESTE volunteer movement. This is great. Because good, like education, cannot be put into any definite framework, “said Igor Kastyukevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy, Deputy of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, head of the ONF Youth.
< p>So, Sheriff Bouaro from Senegal came to Sevastopol to get a specialty in computer security. I learned about the ONF Youth from the neighbors in the hostel – the team members live with the Sheriff. They invited the young man to participate in sports events. Gradually, he began to support work with his sponsors, and now he is actively involved in the action # We are together.
“I heard about the ONF Youth from fellow students – I saw graffiti with a beautiful bird in the hallway of the hostel. I asked the neighbors what it was. I was told about the bullfinch, which is the symbol of a large team of volunteers. I liked the idea of unselfish help, we have a lot of time and energy, too, why not help, ”said Buaro.
Medical students from Iraq and Egypt help the Kazan team of volunteers. Ammar Safauldin Hussein from Iraq, as a future general practitioner, is assisting the medical staff of the red zone. In the republican clinical infectious diseases hospital, a young man is on duty not only during the day, but also on night shifts.
In the summer, Ammar traveled with the ONF Youth to Yakutia to eliminate the consequences of forest fires. At the same time, with the help of the local population, he performed the duties of a physician in a volunteer field camp.
A student of Kazan State Medical University, Nezar Gadelkarim from Egypt, met the ONF Youth team while training as public rescuers.
Volunteer from Nigeria Sodia Ayomipo Dorkas is studying at Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies. Together with the ONF Molodezhka, she visits the sponsored teams, brings the elderly people essentials.
“I believe that good always comes back and at the same time is transmitted along a large chain. I helped you, and you will help another, and, in the end, someone will help me too. It's nice to see the smiles of grandparents, this is the result of my work, I feel warm at once, “said Sodia Ayomipo Dorkas.
Recall that the ONF Youth team has been working as part of the #WeTogether campaign since March 2020 … Volunteers provide help to lonely and elderly people not only during periods of restrictions and self-isolation. This is a regular line of work.
