Daniel Baldwin has declared his brother's innocence for the death on the set of the film “Rust”
Daniel Baldwin has declared his brother Alec Baldwin death of cameraman Galina Hutchins on the set of the film “Rust”. Deadline reports this.
“Remember, actors are idiots. They are here to play. The protocols that have been made public release Alec from any responsibility, “his relative spoke out in defense of the artist.
He suggested that Alec Baldwin was harshly criticized, including for his political views – the actor had previously actively acted against former US President Donald Trump. “This is what he faces because he is self-confident, he has a smart head and really strong views on certain things,” says Daniel Baldwin.
On October 22, it became known that during the shooting of one of scenes of the western “Rust” Alec Baldwin fired a pistol, which was supposed to be loaded with blank cartridges, but the cartridges were live. As a result, cameraman Galina Hutchins was killed and film director Joel Sousa was injured.
After a tragic incident in the United States, they demanded to ban real weapons on film sets. This initiative was supported by 214 representatives of Hollywood cinema, who believe that all types of real firearms during the production process should be banned. The authors of the open letter emphasized that they no longer intend to put themselves and other team members in mortal danger when props or visual effects can be used instead of real weapons.
