The advantage of the Russian “Tick” is named

The minelayer “Tick” can lay mines at a speed of up to 30 kilometers per hour

Russian journalist Vladimir Orlov called tracked chassis (UMZ-G) “Kleshch-G”. He noted the speed of the machine. His words are quoted by the TV channel “360”.

“Tracked minelayers have special devices that allow them to work with the ground, placing various engineering ammunition in it. At the same time, all this happens quickly enough, automated, with minimal human participation, “Orlov said.

According to the journalist, Kleshch-G can lay mines at a speed of up to 30 kilometers per hour. He stressed that the machine allows making calculations that are necessary when creating a minefield.

Earlier, a RIA Novosti source announced the completion of factory tests of the UMZ-G on the chassis of the T-72 tank. The minelayer was developed within the framework of the Kleshch-G development work. The engineering vehicle received nine launchers that allow the installation of 270 PTM-4 anti-tank mines or 1080 POM-2 anti-personnel mines.

In September, the Russian military first used combat robots in the combat formations of combined-arms units. Remotely controlled vehicles “Uran-6” were used to make passages in minefields.
