A cycle of jazz concerts was launched in Kazan

“Tatar Inform”: the Kazan City collective will present a series of jazz concerts concerts. The news agency “Tatar Inform” writes about this.

The first program of the cycle entitled “We are from jazz” was presented by the Kazan City Chamber Orchestra of Jazz Music – it consists of two saxophones, trumpet, trombone, keyboards, drums and bass -guitar. As the head of the ensemble noted, the orchestra plays an earlier jazz form of music making, which emerged in the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.

Thus, the program included works of the golden fund of classical jazz: compositions by Irving Berlin, Will Hudson, Irving Mills, Seymour Simons, Gerald Marks and others. In addition, the musicians presented Brazilian and Oriental trends of the genre.

The orchestra plans to prepare new programs that will complement the repertoire of the Art Residence. It is noted that all concerts will also be available on the “Pushkin Map”.

On November 12, the Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan opened the “Reserved Tatarstan” exhibition, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the Volga-Kama State Arboretum natural biosphere reserve. During the exhibition, guests of the museum will also be able to listen to a series of lectures from researchers.
