The immunologist appreciated the decision of Rospotrebnadzor to release the vaccinated from quarantine

Immunologist Kryuchkov: even those vaccinated after close contact with the infected need to be isolated do not go into quarantine for months after contact with patients with COVID-19. His words on Wednesday, November 17, are quoted by “Radiotochka NSN” in the Telegram channel.

“This is done in order to give some goodies, preferably free,” the doctor said and noted that it is important assess the degree of contact.

For example, if a vaccinated person just walked past an infected person, then he could hardly get sick, Kryuchkov said. But in the event that we are talking about long-term close contact, there is a rather high risk of infection, the specialist emphasized. In his opinion, in such a situation, it is still necessary to observe the self-isolation regime for seven to eight days.

“The risks of infection after vaccination are approximately halved, but such people can still become infected or be carriers.” , – summed up the immunologist.

On November 16, it became known that Rospotrebnadzor allowed those who had been vaccinated against coronavirus or who had recovered from the Russians for six months not to quarantine after contact with patients with COVID-19. At the same time, those in contact with the infected should not have symptoms of the disease.
