Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan: as a result of clashes at the border, 7 soldiers were killed, 10 were wounded

According to him, as a result of the fighting, seven Azerbaijani soldiers were killed, and another ten were injured. The Ministry of Defense added that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border has stabilized.
“The provocation and military adventure committed by Armenia on the state border completely failed,” Baku said, placing all responsibility for the escalation of tension on Yerevan.
On the morning of Wednesday, November 17, Armenia reported that after the incident, contact with 24 soldiers was lost, one person was killed, and 13 soldiers were taken prisoner.
On November 16, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported that the Armenian military attacked Azerbaijani posts in the Kelbajar and Lachin regions of the republic. In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry stated that the Armenian military came under fire from the Azerbaijanis in the eastern direction of the border.
Russia, the United States, the UN and the European Union called on Baku and Yerevan to an immediate ceasefire. Later, Armenia and Azerbaijan stopped clashes in the border area after negotiations with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
