Shoe manufacturers warn Belarus to suspend supplies through Russia

Vedomosti: shoe manufacturers suspend supplies to Belarus due to the labeling

– for problems with marking, which started on November 1st. Nike, Lamoda, Sportmaster and Detsky Mir have sent a letter to the Belarusian government. The Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus confirmed its receipt. This is reported by the Vedomosti edition.

According to the document, companies have problems entering information about the Russian-style codes applied to the goods into the local monitoring system. So, when entering them, the system generates a number of errors, which prevents such a product from being put into circulation. It is noted that this problem is widespread.

The person who took part in drafting the letter to the Belarusian government told Vedomosti that some companies have already stopped deliveries to the country, while others may do so by the end of the month … At the same time, a representative of the Sportmaster company told the publication that the company continues to supply goods to Belarus and hopes for an early resolution of the problem. Lamoda, however, confirmed the suspension of supplies, but noted that they had already been partially restored.

Vice-President of the Association of Sports Industry Enterprises Dmitry Vishnyakov also said that the supply of shoes to Belarus goes through Russia. Companies have to buy codes twice, first from the Russian Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), and then from the Belarusian operator Belblankavid.

Earlier, large Belarusian banks, amid US sanctions, faced problems when conducting transactions through an international payment SWIFT system. Clients of BSB Bank, Dabrabyt, BelVEB, Belarusbank, Belagroprombank and Priorbank complained about problems.
