The guy demanded money from the girl for coffee after refusing to continue dating with him
Twitter user Me, you, Tokyo showed in her account of the correspondence with the guy who asked her to return 3.5 pounds sterling (about 340 rubles at the current exchange rate) for the coffee, which he paid for her on the first date. The girl received an unexpected request after she refused to continue communicating with a new acquaintance.
“It's been six years since this friend tried to bill me for a shitty date,” the user described the request for a refund. The girl explained her decision to end the meetings by the fact that “no chemistry arose” between the young people, it follows from the published screenshots. However, the guy insisted on meeting again and offered to cook dinner for a new acquaintance.
“I'm sorry, but I would not go home to a person I hardly know. Unfortunately, I am an overly romantic person and I believe that a spark should flash in the early stages of dating. But I wish you all the best, ”the girl reacted.
The young man considered the interlocutor's remark to be fair, but asked him to return the money for the coffee bought for her at the first meeting. The guy explained his demand by the fact that he “does not like to waste money” and wants to use these funds during a date with someone else.
The author of the post wrote in response that she was ready to transfer 3.5 pounds sterling, spent by the young man, not to him, but to a charitable foundation. However, the failed boyfriend rejected the idea. “I would like to decide on my own what to do with my money,” the guy reacted by sending the girl his bank details.
The heroine of the story did not tell whether she returned the money spent on coffee to the young man. Many commentators were surprised at the request of the hero of the story and decided that the girl was lucky to avoid a bad relationship.
“It's just amazing. I love it when someone with whom you no longer want to meet confirms that you have made the right choice, “wrote a user with the nickname Hattie Crisell.
At the same time, some commentators raised the question of who should pay the bill on the first date. “It's funny, I think that on the first date, no matter who offered to go, you have to pay equally, and thus it eliminates any expectations, and you don’t owe anything to anyone,” Roshman said.
Earlier on TikTok, a story about an unsuccessful date of a girl whose boyfriend did not come to the meeting became popular. The man lied to his new acquaintance about the reasons for his absence and threatened to sue if she published his voice messages on TikTok.
