Myasnikov: if a person fell ill after the first vaccination, he contracted the coronavirus the day before
Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov told get infected with coronavirus if he has already been vaccinated. The specialist revealed the reasons for this in his Telegram channel.
According to the doctor, if a person received only the first dose of the vaccine and fell ill, it means that he contracted the virus the day before. “The virus has come, but the protection has not yet formed – it takes time,” the doctor explained and noted that the vaccine itself cannot be infected.
The doctor said that some also get sick after the second dose of the vaccine, since the immunity acquired after the first vaccination against COVID-19 may not be fully formed. He stressed that the maximum amount of antibodies is observed 3-4 weeks after the second dose.
Myasnikov explained that it is possible to become infected with the coronavirus several months after vaccination. “If you get sick with COVID-19 a couple of months after the vaccine, then you are in 10-40 percent (in different age groups in different ways) of those whose immunity formed by the vaccine turned out to be weaker than the virus encountered,” the doctor explained. p>
Nevertheless, according to him, the immunity obtained through vaccinations is sufficient to fight the virus. That is why the overwhelming majority of vaccinated COVID-19 passes in a mild form, the doctor noted.
“If you get sick six months or more after vaccination, then you are among those 50 percent of people whose antibody levels are washed out within six months after vaccination, ”the doctor concluded. Myasnikov also warned unvaccinated people about the risks of getting sick and noted that now they can only visit “those places where they are allowed without a QR code.”
Earlier, Myasnikov called the idea of introducing compulsory vaccination in Russia a belated measure. According to the doctor, if the vaccine had been made mandatory earlier, it would have helped save several thousand people.
