The New Jerusalem Museum will open an exhibition “The French Taste of the Princes Yusupovs” diplomat, director of the Hermitage and the Armory, Prince Nikolai Yusupov and his descendants. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region.
“A significant role in preserving the development of the collection belongs to the heirs of Yusupov, who not only did not sell the works from the collection, but also regularly replenished the collection. At the exhibition “The French Taste of the Princes Yusupovs” viewers will see the history of French painting through the eyes of the famous Russian collector Nikolai Borisovich Yusupov, whose collection is now kept in several Russian museums. A total of 37 works will be shown, “the message says.
The exhibition will run until August 28, 2022. It will be accompanied by an additional educational program for visitors. A printed guide, a series of souvenirs and an audio guide will be prepared for the exhibition.
