The Ministry of Defense reports that by the evening of Tuesday, November 16, the intensity of the fighting did not abate, the Azerbaijani troops were using artillery, armored vehicles and small arms. According to Yerevan, the enemy suffers heavy losses in manpower, about a dozen armored vehicles have been destroyed or disabled.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that during the armed clash Armenia lost two combat positions on the border with Azerbaijan.
On November 16, battles began on the border of the two republics. The parties blamed each other for the attack. Yerevan appealed to Moscow with an appeal to protect the territorial integrity of Armenia in accordance with the 1997 bilateral agreement.
