China's economy predicted an anti-record

Analysts predicted that China's GDP growth will slow to 5 percent for the first time in 30 years

will reach an anti-record – for the first time in 30 years, it will slow down to 5 percent. The worsening economic situation is caused by pressure from Beijing on the real estate sector, writes Bloomberg.

China's GDP growth in the third quarter slowed sharply to 4.9 percent in annual terms. This is the weakest growth in nine months. Experts predict that the policy of Chinese President Xi Jinping will be long-term and the pressure on the real estate sector will continue for several more years. In this regard, banks Goldman Sachs, Nomura and Barclays have lowered their forecasts for the growth of the Chinese economy in 2022 to 5 percent and below. If analysts' expectations are met, the growth rate will decline by 2 percent from the pre-pandemic level (7 percent).
