Prosecutor General announced outrageous violations after plane crash in Tatarstan

Krasnov announced systemic shortcomings in DOSAAF aviation after the plane crash in Tatarstan

after the crash of the L-410 aircraft with paratroopers in Tatarstan. This was stated by Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, speaking in the State Duma, Interfax reports.

According to him, systemic shortcomings have been identified, ranging from critical overload of an aircraft to falsification of permits and flight documents. In connection with this situation, prosecutors began checking all DOSAAF institutions. Krasnov awaits its results by December 15.

He also noted that most accidents occur due to low qualifications of personnel, lack of discipline and improper functioning of the flight safety system. There are numerous violations: flights without permits, at night, commercial use of general aviation aircraft, with the pilots handing over the wheel to passengers.

The L-410 aircraft, carrying 20 paratroopers and two crew members, performed a hard landing in the Menzelinsky region of the Republic of Tatarstan. The plane crash killed 16 people, including the crew members – the aircraft commander Mikhail Belyaev and the pilot Alexander Zykov.

The Tatarstan authorities called the failure of one of the engines a likely cause of the L-410 crash.
