Nine deputies of the State Duma of the last convocation refused to vacate their service apartments

The interlocutors of “Vedomosti” noted that the deputies stayed in the service houses for disrespectful reasons, so it is likely that they will move out of there in the near future. In addition, according to sources, 17 apartments of parliamentarians re-elected to the VIII convocation are occupied not by themselves, but by relatives or assistants with their families. , but still, first of all, the law provides housing for the deputy himself, his spouse [or spouse] and minor children, and not other relatives and assistants, “the source of Vedomosti believes.
The head of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced the need to urgently vacate housing on November 15 – he called on party leaders to influence former deputies and resolve the issue of apartments that are not used personally by members of the lower house of parliament. Volodin handed out to the leaders of the factions a list of persons who did not leave the service housing or provide it to outsiders, but did not publicly name the “violators”. Sources of Vedomosti noted that nine deputies who did not leave their apartments were representatives of United Russia and the Liberal Democratic Party.
At the end of October, at the State Duma Council, Volodin asked nonresident deputies of the previous convocation to promptly vacate their office housing, and party leaders – make sure they do it on time. Apartments for parliamentarians are provided until the end of the term of office, which ended on October 12 – with the beginning of the work of the chamber of the VIII convocation. According to the law, the deputies are given another month to vacate their homes – they had to leave the facilities on the evening of November 11.
