to be held in Tatarstan from November 30 to December 5. As Tatar-inform specifies, the cultural event will be held at five venues – the Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater, the Kariev Kazan Tatar State Theater for Young Spectators, the Young Spectator Theater, the Ekiyat Tatar State Puppet Theater and the Menzelinsky State Drama Theater named after Amutbaeva.

On the days of the festival, viewers will get acquainted with 13 performances of various genres, including for the first time performances from Akmolinsk (Kazakhstan) and St. Petersburg. It is indicated that the performances will be presented in both Russian and Tatar languages.

Talking about the upcoming event, theater critic, curator of the festival and special projects of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after Kamal Niyaz Iglamov noted that the theater is developing in different ways in Tatarstan. “Somewhere traditional forms develop, somewhere innovative, and somewhere a synthesis of tradition is taking place,” he explained, adding that in 10 years the republic has managed to overcome the path from a deep tetral province to an important point on the theatrical map of the country./p>

“Our goal is to show as many works of local directors as possible, as well as directors who are close to us in spirit and geography. That is why this year the program turned out to be very rich, ”Iglamov emphasized, emphasizing that the audience will have the opportunity not only to evaluate the performances themselves, but also to take part in creative meetings with directors and theater critics in order to immerse themselves deeper into the theatrical atmosphere.

Earlier it was reported that the VI interregional festival of national theaters for young spectators and youth theaters “Volzhskaya Skazka” started in Chuvashia. As part of the event, seven creative groups from Mordovia, Tatarstan, Bashkiria, Chuvashia and Mari El will perform on the stage of the Cheboksary Youth Theater. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival will be partially held online – some performances can only be seen on YouTube video hosting.
