MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. The Minister of health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova became the laureate of all-Russian public award “Shield and rose” for the rescue of passengers of the plane in the fall of 2016, reported the press service of the Ministry of health.
The annual national public award “Shield and rose” was established in 2008 and is awarded to the best professional women of power ministries and departments for their dedication and professionalism in the performance of duty.
The award ceremony was held on Friday evening.
“Honorary award Veronika Skvortsova received for their high civic and professional responsibility when assisting one of the passengers of flight Moscow — new York in the autumn of last year”, — stated in the message on the website of the Ministry of health.

As told Skvortsova, a woman of 47 years was in an unconscious state with the “signs of brain damage, including focal component”. “What is called the stroke,” — said the Minister.
According to her, together with doctors aboard, the woman managed to regain consciousness, and after landing she was hospitalized.
The Minister then admitted that she was “mortified and embarrassed” that the incident “so much attention is paid.” “This is a standard situation, we at the Institute are taught this. Therefore, every doctor who graduates from the Institute, he is absolutely obliged to do the same”, — said Skvortsova.
