The immunologist revealed the timing of vaccination for patients with COVID-19

Immunologist Bolibok: patients can be vaccinated against COVID-19 only after recovery The timing of vaccination for COVID-19 patients in an interview with Izvestia was revealed by the allergist-immunologist Vladimir Bolibok.

According to the doctor, two to four weeks should pass after the illness, depending on the severity of the illness. “In accordance with the instructions for vaccines, any acute illness, including COVID-19, is a contraindication to vaccination, that is, to the introduction of both the first and second components of the vaccine,” the doctor explained.

Talking about possible adverse reactions to vaccination, the Russian doctor noted that they can manifest themselves regardless of whether a person has suffered from COVID-19.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that the rate of vaccination against coronavirus in Russia has increased in a week by six percent, and among older Russians – by 14 percent. In just seven days, more than 3.2 million people were vaccinated from COVID-19.
