Rosstat head Malkov: the first stage of the population census has ended in Russia 
The first stage of the population census has ended in Russia. This was announced by the head of Rosstat Pavel Malkov, reports TASS.
“Today at midnight the first stage of the census was completed. There are still hard-to-reach areas that will be rewritten until December, but overall data collection has been completed, ”he said.
In addition, Malkov said that 25 million people passed the census through the portal of state services. According to him, this is about 10 million households, since one person enumerates his entire household.
The All-Russian Population Census was conducted from October 15 to November 14, 2021. The procedure was supposed to be organized back in 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it had to be postponed.
Earlier it became known that the number of citizens who took part in the All-Russian population census was more than 100 percent. Such preliminary data were provided by the deputy head of Rosstat Pavel Smelov. He explained that this figure should not be intimidated, since at present it consists of an estimate of the population according to the previous census, operational information from a number of departments and contains many errors.
