The event was timed to coincide with the centenary of the formation of the Dagestan ASSR. The guests of the festival were Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs of Dagestan Enrik Muslimov, Adviser to the Minister Magomed Magomedov and Hero of Russia Zagid Zagidov.
Visitors were presented with an exhibition about the history, traditions and culture of Dagestan and were shown traditional costumes of residents of the republic, as well as told about the crafts and national cuisine of the Caucasian people.
As noted in the press service of the Novgorod region, the main goal of the festival is to strengthen civil unity and harmonize interethnic relations. “We have something to interact with: this is the development of tourism, and economic relations between our regions. We have a need to exchange experience, ”the press service quoted Muslimov as saying.
Earlier in November, it became known that an all-season tourist complex“ Chokh-Rosso ”would open in the ancient Dagestan village of Chokh. So, in one of the oldest settlements of the republic there will be hotels with 17 rooms, bungalows for 12 rooms, a cottage for four rooms, a bath complex, parking for 100 cars and a helipad. It is noted that the construction of the complex will create about 50 new jobs.
