Mali Foreign Minister Diop: the issue of creating a Russian military base is not on the agenda

And this is the responsibility of the authorities, this is the responsibility of the Malian defense and security forces, which should be able to fulfill this role, “Diop said.
In September, the Russian Foreign Minister reported that the Malian authorities had turned to a Russian PMC for assistance in the fight against terrorists. He noted that the decision was made in connection with a significant reduction in the presence of the French military contingent in the country. Lavrov did not elaborate on which PMC the republican authorities applied to.
