Germany mobilizes 12,000 troops by the end of 2021 to help clinics amid the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic. This is reported by the magazine Der Spiegel.
According to preliminary data, reservists will provide logistical assistance in the process of re-vaccination, testing, as well as, if necessary, erect temporary hospitals and provide transportation services. So, by the end of November, six thousand troops will be mobilized, and the same number will be mobilized by Catholic Christmas.
It is noted that the Bundeswehr has already provided assistance during the second and third waves of the pandemic.
Over the past four weeks in Europe, the number of new cases of coronavirus increased by more than 55 percent, in Germany recorded a new anti-record for the number of cases of COVID-19 per day – over 50 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection.
