The iPhone will have a feature that will allow you to protect data with glasses
Apple intends to use smart glasses to protect personal data in the future. This is reported by the publication Patently Apple.
Journalists drew attention to the patent, which appeared in the database of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Privacy Eyewear function offers to display secret content on the smartphone screen, which will be visible only to the owner of the device. In this way, Apple engineers intend to protect the personal data of device consumers.
This option can only be accessed with smart glasses. Reporters believe Apple is hinting at one of its future products – mixed reality smart glasses. “In some embodiments, the user may interact with the calibration function to intentionally hide the graphical information presented on the display of the device,” the document says. The user can also allow other people to see the data on the screen.
The authors of the patent also noted that before using the function, the user will have to set up a new profile on the iPhone so that the Face ID mechanism “recognizes” it with glasses.
At the end of September, Apple sources announced that the American company would launch a VR headset in 2022. The IT giant intends to introduce a new product in the third or fourth quarter of the year.
