Ukraine compared the country's accession to NATO with the West's declaration of war on Russia

Political scientist Molchanov: Ukraine's accession to NATO will become the West's declaration of war on Russia the real reason why a country cannot join the North Atlantic Alliance is not the conflicts in the Donbass and Crimea. He compared Ukraine's accession to NATO with the West's declaration of war on Russia, which will prevent the country from joining the alliance.

“Formally, Ukraine cannot be taken to NATO. Because we have a conflict in Donbass and Crimea. Countries with conflicts are not admitted to NATO. If they close their eyes to this and there is such a version in international expert circles that the West can take Ukraine into NATO. Then this is a declaration by the collective West of war on Russia. Most likely, this will not happen, “the expert noted.

He also stressed that the country is applying for electricity from Belarus and Russia. In his opinion, everything goes to the fact that Ukraine will not receive this electricity when the frosts begin.

Earlier, the Ukrainian deputy from the Servant of the People party Oleg Dunda told what goals the new Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov would achieve. According to him, the task is to expand cooperation with the United States and achieve the creation of a NATO military base in the country.
