The EU told about the negotiations with the Foreign Ministry of Belarus

EU representative: Minsk must stop provoking the migration crisis with Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Aleinik on the migration crisis on the border with Poland. TASS writes about it from the words of a source in EEAS.

“We said that Minsk should stop their actions and that they should provide international organizations with access to people on the border,” a source in EU diplomatic circles said. He also noted that the dialogue with Minsk does not add legitimacy to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, but makes Brussels listen to him.

At the same time, he stated that sanctions remain the main way to influence the Belarusian authorities. What restrictions and in what order to introduce the heads of the EU countries will agree on November 15, at a meeting of the EU Council.

Earlier it became known that the UK sent a contingent of its armed forces to the Polish-Belarusian border to help resolve the situation with migrants. The ministry said that the military will provide Poland with engineering support amid the migration crisis.
