From the beginning of the year to November 11, 2021 Gazprom »Delivered 45.7 billion cubic meters of gas to Germany, which is 7.8 billion (20.6 percent) more than in the same period last year. This is stated in the Telegram channel of the Russian company.

The message was dedicated to the meeting of the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller with the chairman of the board of the German gas company VNG AG Ulf Heitmüller. The leaders reviewed the progress and prospects of cooperation in the gas sector. The parties agreed to study the possibility of extending the contract for the supply of gas on a long-term basis and increasing the contract volume. They also noted the importance of using natural gas to achieve climate goals in Europe, including in the production of hydrogen.
