Those who stole 404 million rubles during the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome were sentenced
terms from four to 5.5 years in prison. This was reported to “Lente.ru” in the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Former head of the “Federal Center for Pricing in Construction and Building Materials Industry” Yevgeny Ermolaev, Acting Head of “GUSS Dalspetsstroy at Spetsstroy Russia” Andrey Zakharov and the CEOs of two private companies, Olga Zugaeva and Sergei Polivanov, were found guilty of embezzlement.
From 2012 to 2014, under the guise of fulfilling a contract, they stole hundreds of millions of rubles, withdrawing funds through accounts of one-day firms.
Another party to the embezzlement, Vyacheslav Fatkullin, managed to escape from the investigation. He was put on the wanted list, and his case was separated into a separate proceeding.
The court appointed Ermolaev 5.5 years in prison, Zakharov and Zugaeva – 4.5 years, and Polivanov – four years. The property of the accused was also arrested in the amount of more than 105 million rubles.
