Peskov on Bloomberg's article on plans to invade Ukraine: empty statements
Western media statements about Russia's plans to invade Ukraine are empty and unfounded. This was stated by the representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
The press secretary of the Russian president also noted that the movement of the Russian armed forces on its territory should not cry out to anyone. “Russia does not threaten anyone,” Peskov answered the relevant question from journalists.
Earlier, the Bloomberg article, which reported on Russia's plans to invade Ukraine, was commented by Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. According to him, Russia does not send ships to the Gulf of Mexico or Alaska. “We are not invading the Gulf of Mexico, as they are in the Black Sea with their ships, making all sorts of reconnaissance flights here,” he said.
Blommberg, citing sources, said that American officials had expressed concerns about that Moscow may consider the possibility of a “military operation”. At the same time, the United States did not transfer any data on the basis of which such conclusions were made to the European Union.
Statements about Moscow's allegedly planned military invasion of Ukraine were also denied by Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN. At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that a large number of threats come from Ukraine.
