Belarus called on the EU to start a dialogue to build a “road map” on migrants to start negotiations with Minsk on the way out of the migration crisis that has developed on the border with Poland. She stated this in an interview with ONT TV channel.
“How to get out of this situation? This is another question. It seems to me that it is necessary for the leaders of neighboring states, Poland, Lithuania, as well as other EU states to start a dialogue with the official representatives of the Republic of Belarus, the leadership of the Republic of Belarus on the subject of building a “road map”, “Chupris said.
According to her, this must be done in order to prevent human casualties and by joint efforts to help people gathered at the border. Chupris also called for the UN High Commissioners for Human Rights and Refugees to be involved in solving the problem.
In early November, groups of migrants from the Middle East gathered on the border of Belarus with Poland and Lithuania and are trying to break into the EU countries. Vilnius and Warsaw argue that Minsk itself orchestrated this situation as part of a “hybrid war” against the West. Acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the involvement of the Belarusian authorities in the migration crisis.
