Minister of Industry of the SAR Sabbag: negotiations on the production of Sputnik V will be held in Syria

He noted that the Russian vaccine has proven its effectiveness during its use in Syria.
“In the next two days, negotiations will be held between Russia and Syria on the start of production of the Russian vaccine in the ATS. The proposal came from the Russian side, “the minister said.
According to him, it is planned to form a joint commission to complete organizational issues for the start of vaccine production.
Earlier, the British Embassy in Moscow said that the approval of the Russian vaccine “Sputnik V” in the World Health Organization (WHO) would be a positive step, since it could contribute to the adoption of the drug around the world.
Currently “Sputnik V” is registered in 70 countries. The European Medicines Agency (EMA), like WHO, has not yet approved the drug.
