Bloomberg: US consumer prices spike growth According to Bloomberg, consumer prices on an annualized basis in October accelerated sharply to 6.2 percent from 5.4 percent a month earlier.

The consumer price index rose 0.9 percent compared to September, which was the biggest jump in four months. Moreover, as the agency notes, both indicators exceeded analysts' forecasts: experts expected annual inflation at 5.8 percent and 0.6 percent in October.
