Senator Tsekov on Rotaru's decision not to visit Crimea: the peninsula will not return to Ukraine 
What singer Sofia Rotaru and her sister are waiting for the return of Crimea to Ukraine testifies to the absolute naivety of the creative and political Ukrainian elite. So the decision of the artist not to come to the peninsula was assessed by the senator from the Crimean region, a member of the international committee of the Federation Council Sergei Tsekov, writes RIA Novosti.
According to him, Rotaru and her sister are not aware of the new international realities. Crimea rightfully and justly returned to Russia from Ukraine, which it was part of by mistake and historical injustice, added Tsekov.
The senator noted that Crimea will never return to Ukraine. “If someone from the Ukrainian elite grabbed land and real estate here and is now nostalgic for Ukrainian times, then it is better to give up the property voluntarily, because Crimea has become Russian forever,” Tsekov emphasized.
Earlier sister singer Sofia Rotaru Aurika said that she and the artist are waiting for the “return” of Crimea to Ukraine. She shared that the performer had not been there for five or six years, and that the Villa Sofia hotel she owned was closed. In addition, the singer is invited to tour Russia, but she refuses these offers, said her relative.
