The confiscated funds of corrupt officials will be credited to the budget of the Pension Fund of Russia The Federation Council approved such a law at a plenary meeting, according to the official website of the upper chamber.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee Elena Bibikova, the Pension Fund will also be replenished with funds from the sale of confiscated property obtained as a result of corruption offenses. The PFR will distribute this money for pensions, and part of it will be given to social benefits and benefits.
The document was developed by deputies from the Liberal Democratic Party. The initiative has already been rejected twice due to a negative response from the Cabinet. At the moment, the PFR budget is formed from insurance premiums, money from the federal budget and other sources.
Earlier, the PFR named the conditions under which the payment of pensions in Russia ceases. This happens if a Russian does not receive the due amount within six months. In addition, pensions are no longer accrued to those who have not completed the procedure for confirming disability on time. The third reason for the deprivation of payments is the expiration of the validity of the residence permit. Foreign citizens or stateless persons may find themselves in such conditions. Finally, the payment of the survivor's pension ends when the citizen reaches the age of majority.
